Founder of Ametal Elevator Systems, İsmail YILDIRIM, was introduced to the elevator industry in 1974 and instantly developed a deep passion for it. He later gained valuable experience at an international elevator company, witnessing firsthand how elevators were transformed into powerful innovations that make people’s lives easier.

In the 1980s, Turkey was like barren land for elevator manufacturing. There were almost no domestic elevator producers, and a large number of elevator components were imported.

It was in this period that the vision of “A Great and Strong Future” gave birth to the Ametal Elevator Systems brand. Why “Ametal”? Since the company’s first product was a control button and button panel made primarily of plastic rather than metal, the name “Ametal” — meaning “non-metal” — was chosen.

For 36 years, Ametal Elevator Systems has continuously advanced its vision of adding value to its employees, stakeholders, industry, and country, while maintaining the quality awareness it embraced from day one.

Under the leadership of its Founder, İsmail YILDIRIM, the company has taken steps toward professionalization that have elevated Ametal Elevator Systems’ value not only in Turkey but also on the international stage.

Today, İsmail Yıldırım continues to serve as Chairman of the Board, guiding Ametal Elevator Systems on its path of growth with his knowledge, experience, and vision.
